PODCAST FEATURE: The Concierge, Post Mortem

I had the absolute pleasure (and continue) to collaborate with North Mist Studios on their podcast series “The Concierge, Post Mortem.” They were looking for a brooding and moody cello piece, and due to my significant experience as a cellist I was able to record solo cello for them live. Beyond their request for a main theme, I provided North Mist with paired down versions of the theme, stings, and solo voicings for their creative use on the podcast.

I was contracted to create a five track journey for DARK’s brand new haunted house Necropolis. A cave expedition gone wrong turns into a terrifying adventure into an alien spacecraft and it was my job to generate an atmosphere of apprehension meets wonder. Set to a score of synthetic sound design as well as strident strings, Haunted house enthusiasts were treated to a rich and chaotic journey into the dark…

Orchestration, Digital Recreation

Re-Orchestration and Digital recreation of full musical score - Players De Novo Charity

In late 2024, I was approached by an artistic director in Edmonton interested in my abilities to create mockups and to re-orchestrate existing music for an annual charity. I was tasked with re-creating the entirety of Stephen Sondheim’s score for A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum. It was an immense task, but I took great joy in handcrafting a faithful, digital recreation for the actors to perform with.

The artistic and creative choices I was able to make, such as expanding the string section to a full sized section, lent itself to the size and scope of the show as well as cast. I added additional supporting woodwinds and modified the simplistic 60s drum patterns to incorporate some more “cheeky” moments to the score as well.
